A new high-level scientific board

The new ESIEE Paris Scientific board met for the first time on Thursday 4 April 2024, in hybrid mode.
The ESIEE Paris Scientific board plays an essential role in providing expertise and strategic advice on several aspects of our school. It is chaired by Yann le Cun, Professor at New York University, Vice President and Meta’s Chief AI Scientist.
Yann Le Cun, an alumnus of ESIEE Paris class of 1983, won the 2019 Turing Award and is one of the inventors of Deep Learning.

The board meets twice a year to discuss important issues relating to the school’s strategy, including:
- Research orientations in line with Université Gustave Eiffel policy
- Research development policy
- The development of new training programmes
- Partnership projects with companies
- Adapting education and training to the economic climate

The Scientific board is made up of 28 members including renowned experts such as CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research) researchers, scientists, industry professionals and academics.
